These 8 anatomical drawings were / made by F.E. Schoonover while a / member of the Howard Pyle class (1902-1903) / 1305 Franklin Street. // They are copies of the originals / made by H.P. for use in his lectures / Friday afternoons or evenings, given / at the Franklin street address to / all the students. I believe the / whole idea was entirely original with / Mr. Pyle. // At various times some of those who / attended these lectures come to / the Rodney Street studio and upon question / tell me that the units of measurement / as shown in the drawings form the major / part of their figure drawings as re- / lated to the head, hands and feet. // The lectures were held at Franklin Street / during the fall and winter of 1902–03
