Commentary: This is the second copy of the covered bridge at Yellow Britches Creek. The artist must have liked it because he copied it from #2480a, finishing it for himself on his birthday, August 19, 1960. (day books)
It hung in his dining room for many years.
Provenance: Given by artist to Mrs. Bristow, Wilmington, Delaware (circa 1970); Schoonover Studios Ltd., Wilmington, Delaware; Joseph Scott, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania [1997]; David, David Gallery, Philadelphia [2001]; Schoonover Studios Ltd., Wilmington, Delaware; private collection [2005]
