Commentary: The artist accompanied Irenee duPont on a trip by boat to visit Xanadu, the duPont estate at Varadero Beach, Cuba. While there, he painted this watercolor of Xanadu and gave it to Mr. duPont in return for his hospitality.
While in Cuba, Schoonover took many photographs and rendered sketches of Cuban people.

Rockwell’s Studio open May through October.

Weekdays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Weekends and holidays: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Holiday Closings:
