Commentary: Schoonover spent time during 1936, 1938, 1940 and 1942 at the ‘George Smith Farm’ near the Schoonover summer home in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. The artist painted landscapes of the property and the farm from various perspectives. Always intrigued by trees, especially birches, he featured them here.
