day books: “March 21, [1937] – Dedication of / Brown-Window by / Bishop – Cook.” However, the Brown window is day book number 2158w, The Journey, and was not dedicated until June 7, 1942. The date of March 21, 1937, does however correspond with the dedication of this window, Bethlehem Star.

Commentary: Schoonover reports in his day books: “Window installed and dedicated by Bishop Cook. March 21, 1937.” It was constructed by D’Ascenzo Studios in Philadelphia. See #2155 for the cartoon created by the artist.
Provenance: Immanuel Church, Highlands, Wilmington, Delaware [1936]
